Un profilo di Giuseppe Raimondi (1898-1985)

This paper provides some information about Giuseppe Raimondi (1898-1985) and his literary work. The social and cultural context in which he lived and worked is analyse in order to carry out a short critical biography, based on chronology. His activity as collaborator of many literary and artistic journals gave Raimondi the opportunity to meet some famous poets and painters. Actually, his letters are considered as important documents about the Italian culture during the first part of 20th century. However, his books are also interesting, even though they are less read and studied. Raimondi’s works often talk about memories, but they deal with art and literature too. The article particularly focuses on the novel Giuseppe in Italia, but it also adds a comment to other texts. Finally, a synthetic overview on the latest research about the author is provided for further reading.
