The paper deals with the naval types of the lembos and the liburna, in the context of the Hellenistic and Roman Adriatic. In order to reconstruct the technical characteristics of the two ship types, textual and iconographic sources are analysed. The peculiarities of the nautical tradition of the Adriatic are highlighted.
Il contributo è dedicato alle tipologie navali del lembos e della liburna, nel contesto dell'Adriatico ellenistico e romano. Nell'ottica di ricostruire le caratteristiche tecniche dei due tipi, sono analizzate le fonti testuali e quelle iconografiche. Si evidenzia la peculiarità della tradizione nautica dell'Adriatico.
