The article deals with the study of a logboat found in the river Piave, near Ponte di Piave (Treviso). The boat, hollowed out of an oak trunk, is divided into two sections but is fairly well preserved; it has an overall length of 6.40 m and a width of between 62 and 70 cm, is carefully built and has refined lines. Radiometric and dendrochronological dating have provided a date to the first half of the 9th century AD.
L'articolo è dedicato allo studio di uno scafo monossile rivenuto nel fiume Piave, presso Ponte di Piave (Treviso). L'imbarcazione, scavata in un tronco di quercia, è divisa in due tronconi ma risulta abbastanza ben conservata; ha una lunghezza complessiva di 6,40 m e una larghezza compresa tra 62 e 70 cm, è costruita con cura e presenta linee raffinate. Le datazioni radiometriche e dendrocronologiche hanno fornito una datazione alla prima metà dei IX secolo d.C.
