Nuovo ritrovamento di un’àncora “bizantina” proveniente dal mare di Venezia

Study of a well preserved iron anchor with an inverted T shape, of the so-called 'Byzantine' type, occasionally found by fishermen in the Venetian sea off the Lido island . On the basis of typological comparisons with other examples, the anchor can be dated back between the 6th and 7th Centuries AD.

Studio su un'ancora in ferro a T rovesciata, del tipo cosiddetto "bizantino", in buono stato di conservazione (benché il fusto sia spezzato, è perfettamente ricomponibile) rinvenuta occasionalmente dai pescatori nel mare di Venezia antistante l'isola del Lido. In base ai confronti tipologici con altri esemplari, l'ancora può collocarsi cronologicamente tra il VI e il VII secolo d.C.
