This chapter first looks at existing research, debates, and approaches to different modes of TV translation, and subsequently offers a few observations on how more recent distribution dynamics, technological developments and consumption modes have potentially affected the processes and products of TV content adaptation. Based on the rich and multifaceted landscape of audiovisual translation described in the previous sections, the final portion of this chapter considers possible further avenues for research in the context of the global distribution dynamics of mediated TV content.
