In this paper I will try to show that the translation difficulties of Russian-speaking bilingual children living in Italy are in some respects very similar to those of Russian language learners. Therefore a better acquisition of the two languages can pass through translation education as a metalinguistic and meta-cultural reflection. Тhe results of the translations of children’s literary texts carried out by the Heritage Speakers for the second Italian season of the Kul’turnyj most contest, compared with the translations of the same texts carried out by a group of male and female students of the University of Bologna, not attending translation courses, proved to be of particular interest for the analysis of translation skills in some linguistic categories.

Abstract
In this paper I will try to show that the translation difficulties of Russian-speaking bilingual children living in Italy are in some respects very similar to those of Russian language learners. Therefore a better acquisition of the two languages can pass through translation education as a metalinguistic and meta-cultural reflection. Тhe results of the translations of children’s literary texts carried out by the Heritage Speakers for the second Italian season of the Kul’turnyj most contest, compared with the translations of the same texts carried out by a group of male and female students of the University of Bologna, not attending translation courses, proved to be of particular interest for the analysis of translation skills in some linguistic categories.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
