EnglishThe last years have witnessed a renewed scientific interest on research dealing with the palingenesis of authoritative acts, legal sources and texts of the Roman jurisprudence The aim of this paper is to reconstruct the early and previous stages of this kind of research, with main reference to the key milestones in the Italian experience An Italian project of a palingenesis of imperial constitutions began in the first twenty years of the twentieth century but has remained incomplete As a spin-off of this project, Edoardo Volterra undertook until his death the edition of a collection of senatus consulta: this collection, although incomplete, became a point of reference for the next research.

| Abstract: | Dans le contexte d’un intérêt récent et renouvelé pour les études et les recherches sur les actes d'autorité et les sources jurisprudentielles de l’expérience juridique romaine, qui doivent être envisagés du point de vue palingénésique, le présent article entend reconstruire le commencement et l’évolution des recherches basée sur cette méthodologie En Italie notamment, le projet d’une palingénésie des constitutions impériales, qui remonte aux années 1920 mais qui demeure inachevé, a incité Edoardo Volterra à construire parallèlement sa propre collection de sénatus-consultes laquelle – bien qu’en grande partie inachevée elle aussi – constitue une référence obligée pour les recherches sur des sujets de ce genre | |
