A 12-year-old intact male dog was presented for polyuria and polydipsia, compulsive walking and seizures. A diagnostic protocol confirmed primary polycythemia (PCV 74%), Cushing’s disease due to a pituitary macroadenoma, and pulmonary thrombosis. Following phlebotomy and medical therapy, transsphenoidal hypophysectomy was performed but, unfortunately, the dog died 48 hours after surgery.
