In today’s world, due to the radical rise in mobility and mobile lifestyles, the meanings and embodiments of home have fundamentally changed. The privileged space that once was home to those inhabiting it for a lifetime is fading away and non-sedentary, dynamic home cultures have emerged from temporally and spatially transitory living arrangements. One of such embodiments of home is the temporary room of the highly mobile, international student―rooms are the focal points of their fragmented, dynamic, and multi-scalar homely worlds. Humans, places, and material objects connect to each other and form a narrative structure, which extends over multiple scales, from small objects in the room to the city at large. Focusing on 10 rooms of 10 international students who lived in Copenhagen for a semester (autumn 2018), this article offers a reading of temporary interiors and their particular, everyday aesthetics.

Abstract
Focusing on 10 rooms of 10 international students who lived in Copenhagen for a semester (autumn 2018), this article offers a reading of temporary interiors and their particular, everyday aesthetics.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
