The aim of this paper is to shed light on Linear A administrative practices and on the types of documents used for administrative purposes during the Neopalatial Period in the Aegean. It also addresses methodological issues concerning the interpretation of texts written in an undeciphered script and the correlation between written (namely clay tablets) and uninscribed documents (namely clay sealings). It finally contrasts Linear A and Linear B tablets, as far as the formats and the recorded commodities are concerned.
