Agriculture and food production have entered an era of digitally enabled processes, where data can be generated during the various agricultural activities. This study provides a conceptual framework for cost estimation and fleet management at farm level based on machine telemetry data and activity-based costing. It is based on the data management functions of collection, transformation and provision of useful information for farmer decision making. Besides cost measuring and evaluation, the framework accounts for reporting machine operational efficiency for better fleet management. The results can serve as a support for data collection and analysis from agricultural machines.

Abstract
Agriculture and food production have entered an era of digitally enabled processes, where data can be generated during the various agricultural activities. This study provides a conceptual framework for cost estimation and fleet management at farm level based on machine telemetry data and activity-based costing. It is based on the data management functions of collection, transformation and provision of useful information for farmer decision making. Besides cost measuring and evaluation, the framework accounts for reporting machine operational efficiency for better fleet management. The results can serve as a support for data collection and analysis from agricultural machines.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
