In the last ten years it has been described the possibility to produce “one-step” multi-transgenic pigs through the application of Sperm Mediated Gene Transfer. The aim of this study was to obtain primary lines of swine mesenchimal cells from newborn piglets produced through SMGT technique and to perform exogenous DNA detection on the isolated cells. The mesenchimal origin was established with immunocitochemistry. Cell lines resulted to be proliferant and transgenic, disclosing further applications for the production of transgenic pigs.

Abstract
In the last ten years it has been described the possibility to produce “one-step” multi-transgenic pigs through the application of Sperm Mediated Gene Transfer. The aim of this study was to obtain primary lines of swine mesenchimal cells from newborn piglets produced through SMGT technique and to perform exogenous DNA detection on the isolated cells. The mesenchimal origin was established with immunocitochemistry. Cell lines resulted to be proliferant and transgenic, disclosing further applications for the production of transgenic pigs.File in questo prodotto:
