Biginning from the analysis of the books – supports to the radio courses in FLE during the years 1949-1973 and the radio emission in 1974 in Italy, we analyse the evolution of teaching methods in relation to the radio. We establish that this evolution is slow and consequential, every theory containing the assumptions of the next one, and that all changes produce an increasing awareness in the radio as a teaching instrument.
