The aim of this work is to investigate the relationship between protest and repression in Africa and Latin America between the late 1970s and the beginning of the 21st century. Focusing on different political regimes, the book deals with the issue of the human rights, and its main scientific problem is to define whether a relationship exists between the behaviour of the protesters and the behaviour of the governments in case of domestic conflicts. ‘
