Abstract
The Prophecies de Merlin, peculiar example in the late thirteenth century literature, are a prose novel which combine large Merlin's prophecies and some Arthurian episodes. The rich manuscript tradition conveys two versions, a long version and a short one, which whose updated profile I give. In the essay MS. Citta del Vaticano, BAV, Reg. Lat. 1687 is described and the relationships between three witnesses of the short version is defined. Furthermore, I propose the derivation of the Storia di Merlino, the Paolino Pieri's translation, from a short version model of the Prophecies de Merlin.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
