After some considerations about mythological patterns and Servius’ usus scribendi, Serv. in Ecl. 6, 72 (the parentage of Grynus: Eurypylus namque filius Telephi, Herculis et Auges filii, ex Astioche, Laomedontis filia, fuit qui Grynum procreauit), which is part of the Scholia Danielis, is suspected to come from an unknown, but, at least in this case, consistent source. An emendment (e[x] Astioche, Laomedontis filia) is moreover cautiously put forward
