The Author contextualizes the Reden über die Religion (1799) in the late Eighteenth’s century debate. He compares Schleiermacher theory of religious feeling to Kant, Herder, Spinoza and Leibniz philosophies. Furthermore, he connects it with contemporary readings of Jacobi, F. Schlegel, Fichte during the secularization politics of European States. Religious feelings are individual organisms since they are generated throughout an immediate relation of consciousness to the Infinite, and they cannot therefore be understood as parts of a totality, which overcomes and nullifies them. A new conception of historical-religious subjectivity emerges from Schleiermacher pages, observant of faith plurality and able to promote a productive and concrete ethics.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
