The problem of pathological fractures of the lower jaw with particular reference to their aetiology is examined in the light of personal experience. Ondontogenic and haematogenic osteomyelitis, primary and metastatic tumours, degenerative lesions, traumas, inclusions of the teeth and the whole apparatus are discussed individually.
