Recent archaeological research conducted in Kos highlights elements of contact between Late Antique architecture of the island and that of the regions of Asia Minor. An interesting case study concerns the liturgical apparatus, and in particular the ambos. The variety of the artefacts reflects phenomena of homologation and the development of new typologies.
