Alasdair MacIntyre: relativismo, individualismo e altri problemi della modernità

An investigation of Alasdair MacIntyre’s intellectual path which emphasizes some constant key themes in his works. Although MacIntyre’s philosophical and political positions have changed across time, the themes of the fragmentation of human life in modernity and the divided Self, the impossibility of human flourishing in the liberal society, the constraints of relativism and individualism are constant in his works. The author also examines MacIntyre’s critique of Liberalism and his proposed return to Aristotle and to local communities based on shared values to highlight the problems inherent in them.
