Abstract
Starting from the particular relation between Religion and Innovation, which we have had in the west History, and from the reasons which have made in the west Modernity these two concepts incompatible with each other, this essay tries to show a possible reconciliation. The Niklas Luhmann’s systemic approach, the idea of functional differentiation and contingency as the main characteristic of our Society seem to offer the best tools to foster, on the one hand, a “function of religion” which is less confessional, innovation-friendly and focused on God and, on the other, a perspective capable to avoid the risk that innovation becomes a form of religion in our society.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
