Poly(omega-pentadecalactone-co-butylene-co-succinate)s with different composition were synthesized via enzymatic catalysis. The applied synthetic procedure yields high molecular weight random copolymers whose composition reflects the monomer feed ratios. All copolymers show high degree of crystallinity. The Tm-composition dependence and the WAXS diffractograms indicate that poly(omega-pentadecalacton-co-butylene-co-succinate) is an iso-dimorphic system. These hydrolysable polyesters form regular nanoparticles with potential applications as drug delivery systems.
