In the 1980’s Florence was already well known as the stage of Pitti Uomo fair, but in July 1983 the most important ready-to-wear fashion show in Italy came to a turning point: the consolidation of its new and only location inside the Fortezza da Basso. Thanks to archival sources and press release, the research aims to see the city as the macroscopic showcase of a crucial revolution that blends Fashion, Design and Arts introducing a new way of displaying goods inside the industrial fashion system.
