At a time when the virus appears to have lost its initial thrust and the focus is on the Recovery Plan, this contribution considers the takeaways from COVID-19. The existing criticalities are analyzed in light of the EU’s competences in the field of healthcare with a view to assess the current constitutional and legislative shortcomings, but also to determine the potential for improvement.
