There is a growing interest in dietary supplements able toimprove blood pressure levels [1]. Coenzyme Q10 (alsoknown as ubiquinone-10) is a coenzyme for inner mito-chondrial enzyme complexes. The biological importance ofCoenzyme Q10 relies on its role in energy transduction inmitochondria where it accepts electrons from severaldonors including NADH, succinate and glycerol-3-phos-phate and transfers them to the cytochrome system. Thisgenerates a protonic gradient and high-energy adenosine-5-triphosphate (ATP) intermediates [2]
