This contribution examines a specific typology of stoa, so-called “entre retours” or “with returning walls”, that characterises the agora of the Hellenistic urban centres of Epirus. These squat galleries represent a typical feature of the regional public architecture and the wide use of this specific model in Epirus seems to be also connected to a strong relevance of “ethnicity”.
