The following review is meant as an introduction to "Testi letterari e analisi digitale" by Francesco Stella, printed in February 2018 and published by Carocci in the Bussole series. The text comes as a practical and example-based guide for the application of digital tools to literary studies; it introduces digital editions, as well as linguistic and stylometric text analysis, among others. The author favours an application-oriented study over an epistemological and sociological examination of the Digital Humanities: the work is indeed addressed to scholars who already use or would like to use methods and tools of digital analysis. It stimulates curiosity and showcases efforts made in a promising field of study, which already boasts significant achievements but has yet to be fully exploited.
