Starting from critically analysing the pioneering historical centre of Bologna, the main architectures and public spaces and its contemporary challenges, the excursion meant to open the looks towards the new urban dynamics of the city in terms of the emerging publics, opportunity spaces and infrastructures,new ways of living, and the appearance of spaces of urban co-production. The metropolitan dimension of the city and the dynamics between the urban centre, the peripheries and the metropolitan area, are new challenges which are point out to be addressed. Stressing the complexity and the many looks on the city, aimed to capture its spatial, functional and historical values and grasp possible new visions.
