Abstract
Thanks to energy recovery, municipal solid waste (MSW), in addition to acquiring a significant added value, can be considered a source of energy recovery. In fact, national legislation has intended to promote this form of recovery, although currently precise guidelines still miss. Energy recovery can be achieved by the production of electricity, the production of heat or the combined production of electricity and heat themselves. Level of recovery that can be achieved is a direct function of recovery plant features, its location and the adopted method of energy recovery. A real example of recovery technology is represented by the incineration plant in Bologna (Italy) designed for electricity production from waste and restructured in 2001, becoming technologically advanced.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
