This paper describes the environmental impact assessment of wood-pellet and of wood-chips production through a Life Cycle Assessment carried out using a detailed LCA software (Simapro6.0). The LCA’s phases are: Goal definition and Scoping, Life Cycle Inventory (LCI), Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA), Life Cycle Interpretation (ISO 14040). In this paper each step is described with reference to compare the two row of wood (chips and pellet). The environmental impacts are analyzed with 3 methods: Ecoindicator99, Cumulative Energy Demand and EDIP/UMIP96. Energy Demand and EDIP/UMIP96.
