Abstract: The question of same-sex marriage places us before the problematic alternative between recognizing multiple forms of family union within the state and relaxing marriage rules. With this question comes an opportunity to leverage the political justice behind same-sex marriage so that the kind of social innovation it promotes might be able to drive back the marginalization attendant on neoliberalism.
