Algumas Evidências da Interação Universidade-Indústria no Rio Grande do Sul

This paper presents information from the CNPq and PINTEC Research Groups Directory (IBGE) that can be used for the analysis of the university-industry interaction in Rio Grande do Sul (RS). As a proxy, RS research groups registered with CNPq that declared some relationship with the company. Information from universities and research institutions was extracted from the CNPq Research Groups Directory for the 2004 Census. On the companies side, special PINTEC tabs (base 2003) were used. The data allow to illustrate recent regional specificities of the National Innovation System present in the country, pointing out that there is still room for incentives that encourage the transfer of academic knowledge to companies.
