O diretório dos grupos de pesquisa do CNPq e a interação universidade-empresa no Brasil em 2004

This paper presents information from the CNPq Research Groups Directory that can be explored in the investigation of university-business interaction in Brazil. For this purpose, the research groups registered with CNPq that declared some relationship with the productive sector are used as a proxy. The information was extracted from the 2004 Census of the CNPq Directory of Research Groups. The results show the greater frequency of scientific research and technology transfer activities that are characterized as bidirectional exchanges of knowledge. This panorama may be pointing to advances in the development of a common language between research groups and the productive sector. This investigation illustrates recent specificities of the National Innovation System in the Country, indicating that there is still room for incentives that encourage the transfer of academic knowledge to companies.
