This paper reflects on the changes in the concept of memory and practices of the institutions related to it. It shows how contemporary society has traces of nostalgia and concern for the construction of assets of diverse and distinct natures. It highlights the role that technology plays in these processes. It proposes an exploratory research from some institutional experiences and voluntary collective experiences in some museums and on the Internet.
