Nanostructured electrospun three-dimensional scaffolds are used for tissue engineering applications i.e. as a guide for cellular growth. Re-absorbable polymers, such as Poly(L)lactide (PLLA) were electrospun using an "ad hoc" collecting device originally designed and realized to allow fabrication of various oriented and patterned fibrous structures. Good cell adhesion, proliferation, and colonization of the scaffold were obtained.

Abstract
