The occurrence of injuries in athletes can lead to prolonged periods of inactivity, required for recovery, rehabilitation, and, at worse, to the persistence of functional limitations. An early identification of altered biomechanical conditions, which might lead to injury, could allow an early rehabilitation, preventing the following possible injury, without completely stopping the training. Abstract
The squat is a multi-articular movement used ,[1], [2] and [3], and in recovery therapy. A test based on the execution of squat with different controlled arms positions was recently proposed for the screening of altered biomechanical conditions in athletes. However, no quantitative validation of the test was provided and no direct association was found between specific altered physical conditions and relevant indicatorsI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
