The essays makes a short history if the impact of of FRBR twenty years after the publication of the model, and introduces the new conceptual model IFLA LRM (Library Reference Model) in its fundamental features and highlights the innovative changes. It shorty presents the structure of the model, the user tasks, the entities, attributes, relationships and the modelling of aggregates.
