Religione e diritto in Rawls. Uno sguardo retrospettivo

This paper focuses on John Rawls’s undergraduate senior thesis A Brief Inquiry into the Meaning of Sin and Faith and on the later but related biographical essay On My Religion. The A. tries to stress the evidence of a continuity in Rawls’s moral and political philosophy which is connected to the reduce of the role of ethical and religious epistemological truths in order to emphasize the independent value of moral respect. This perspective is the bedrock of the concept of law and the idea of justice which arise from his masterpiece A Theory of Justice.
