The study is an examination of the monument of Abgig, erected by Senusret I in the Fayyum depression. After it was removed from its original location, the free-standing monument has been placed on a roundabout of Medinet el-Fayyum, where it still is. The study is based on a photographic survey of the stone. Whereas three of its faces have been published previously, the fourth one has remained hitherto unpublished.
