Here we present some preliminary results obtained for a sample of X-ray selected, luminous and obscured (Type 2) quasars at z~1-2 observed in the near- and mid-IR with Spitzer. In particular, adopting a torus configuration for the obscuring (and reprocessing) matter and fitting the quasar Spectral Energy Distributions (SEDs), we estimate some geometric parameters for the torus like tau(9.7 micron) and full covering angle, and provide AGN bolometric luminosities and corrections. We also present the interesting case of a z=2 quasar for which the inclusion of sub-mm (scuba) data allows us to reveal and parameterize coeval nuclear activity and star formation.

Abstract
Here we present some preliminary results obtained for a sample of X-ray selected, luminous and obscured (Type 2) quasars at z~1-2 observed in the near- and mid-IR with Spitzer. In particular, adopting a torus configuration for the obscuring (and reprocessing) matter and fitting the quasar Spectral Energy Distributions (SEDs), we estimate some geometric parameters for the torus like tau(9.7 micron) and full covering angle, and provide AGN bolometric luminosities and corrections. We also present the interesting case of a z=2 quasar for which the inclusion of sub-mm (scuba) data allows us to reveal and parameterize coeval nuclear activity and star formation.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
