In the present contribution we present the results of mesoporous cryogel carbons/PtRu with high Pt loadings (30 wt%) tested in configuration of passive DMFC in order to evaluate their performance in terms of power and current densities of the anode in a configuration nearer to the final one. Given that the V-I and P-I characteristics are strongly affected by the DMFC assembly (hot-pressing conditions, current collector materials and structures) and operative conditions (electrode loadings, methanol concentration and temperature) we compare the results of mesoporous carbons/PtRu with those of commercial Vulcan carbon/PtRu tested under the same conditions. Test to evaluate the performance of these anodes over long functioning time, which is tailored to the volume and concentration of the CH3OH reservoir, are also reported and discussed.

Abstract
Test to evaluate the performance of these anodes over long functioning time, which is tailored to the volume and concentration of the CH3OH reservoir, are also reported and discussed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
