This paper presents an unpublished study by Giovanni Pascoli (preserved in Castelvecchio's archive: sign. G.75.6.1.47-50) of the structure of Horace’s Odes and Epodes. Pascoli, both scholar and poet, here pursues his well-known numerological interests, in the process engaging with the nineteenthcentury critical literature on Horace.
