Inspired byneighborhood studies and neighborhood effect theories, this work investigates the possible relationship betweencollective social isolation and local resources. The paper retraces the history of a district strongly characterized by public housing in Bologna through a contestualist paradigm and a conditional approach. The analysis, carried out through different research tools. aims at examining how socio-spatial isolation developed over time and can still influence inhabitants.
