In this article we want to tackle the difficult issue of platform regulation by using the most recent cases that occurred in the EU in the last years. We initially consider the regulatory challenges faced by the European Commission (EC) in a more general term and then focus our attention on three specific cases related to: Booking.com, Airbnb, and Uber. At the end of the article, we provide an outlook of the future challenges that platforms may pose.
