Chandra observations of NGC 4278 (Brassington et al 2008) have produced the deepest images of an elliptical galaxy thus far. With little background due to hot gas this has allowed for the analysis of field and GC sources down to Luminosities of 3.5x10e36 erg/s. We have grouped GC sources by their luminosity, as well as the colour and galactocentric distance of the host GC in order to answer three questions.

Abstract
Chandra observations of NGC 4278 (Brassington et al 2008) have produced the deepest images of an elliptical galaxy thus far. With little background due to hot gas this has allowed for the analysis of field and GC sources down to Luminosities of 3.5x10e36 erg/s. We have grouped GC sources by their luminosity, as well as the colour and galactocentric distance of the host GC in order to answer three questions.File in questo prodotto:
