The paper aims at reviewing diagnostics techniques for electric drives with special reference to papers published in the last ten years. A comprehensive list of reference is reported and commented, classifying research activities into four main topics: Electrical faults (non-invasive techniques) for electric drives; Mechanical faults (non-invasive techniques); Signal processing (analysis and monitoring); Artificial intelligence and decision techniques.
