The problem of locating sources of events such as faults and direct lightning in electric distribution networks can be tackled using several techniques. In this paper, the performance of a distributed measurement system designed and set up by the authors to fit this purpose is evaluated by means of simulations under different realistic operating conditions of the network. The results show the validity and robustness of the proposed approach.

Abstract
The problem of locating sources of events such as faults and direct lightning in electric distribution networks can be tackled using several techniques. In this paper, the performance of a distributed measurement system designed and set up by the authors to fit this purpose is evaluated by means of simulations under different realistic operating conditions of the network. The results show the validity and robustness of the proposed approach.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
