It is presented the Monte Carlo code MCSHAPE developed at Bologna which furnishes a detailed description of x- and γ-ray photon transport taking care of the polarization effects. This code is unique in its features, because it gives information about the evolution of the polarization state from the source to the detector. The characteristics of the code are illustrated with some examples in different applications of x-ray photon transport.

Abstract
It is presented the Monte Carlo code MCSHAPE developed at Bologna which furnishes a detailed description of x- and γ-ray photon transport taking care of the polarization effects. This code is unique in its features, because it gives information about the evolution of the polarization state from the source to the detector. The characteristics of the code are illustrated with some examples in different applications of x-ray photon transport.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
