Abstract
While it is true that most of the key issues in LSP teaching and learning complexity of content, specialized terminology, the language competencies needed before dealing with domain specific registers, etc. are not substantially affected by technological developments, there is no doubt that the availability both of a growing number of online resources and of ever more powerful hard and software have changed radically and for the better our approach to target group-tailored teaching and learning activities in the field of specialized communication. This paper provides an overview of the different kinds of relevant online resources available (teacher support sites, terminological databases, etc.) and illustrates the use of specialist corpora in language learning and teaching. The central role of metalinguistic competencies is also highlighted.File in questo prodotto:
