L'etica dei migranti, la terra del nomos: l'attualità della chōra

The ethics of migrants, the earth of the nomos: The topicality of chōra. – In this paper, I argue that the ethical identity of Western man/woman is a migrant identity, on the basis of how its first foundations were outlined by Aristotle. Though entirely internal to the cultural striations of the West, this ethical identity destabilizes them, as it is bearer of a logic of the third arising from the Platonic concept of interweaving. This Platonic concept is interpreted here as the original formulation of the nature of complexity. The same logic of the third characterizes, in my view, the idea of chōra as land and sea of action. Just by virtue of the ethical concept of action, chōra is land and sea of migrations and also links its identity to all the meanings of nomos. A geographical theory of migrations is delineated here, aimed at interpreting the contemporary world through the reinterpretation of the epistemological potential of chōra and the reasons of its topicality.

In questo contributo si sostiene che l’identità etica dell’uomo/della donna occidentale è nei suoi primi fondamenti, per come li ha delineati Aristotele, un’identità migrante. E pur essendo del tutto interna alle striature culturali dell’Occidente, tale identità etica le destabilizza in quanto portatrice di una logica del terzo derivante dal concetto platonico di intreccio, nel quale si individua qui la formulazione originaria della natura della complessità. La stessa logica del terzo contraddistingue, a parere di chi scrive, l’idea di chōra in quanto terra e mare d’azione. Proprio in virtù del concetto etico d’azione la chōra è terra e mare di migrazioni e lega inoltre la sua identità a tutti i significati del nomos. È qui delineata una teoria geografica delle migrazioni, volta a interpretare la realtà odierna attraverso la reinterpretazione del potenziale epistemologico della chōra e delle ragioni della sua attualità.
